Anglican Aged Care

nglican Aged Care is a division of Anglican Care, Canterbury Westland, which was originally incorporated to carry out social work, under its own act of parliament in 1953, as the Social Services Council of the Diocese of Christchurch.

Anglican Aged Care is a non-profit organisation with a mission to provide exceptional standards of care with principles founded on a Christian doctrine of upholding the value of the individual from any race or denomination.

Our Governance

ur overall governance is exercised by a board of trustees under the ward ship of the bishop and Anglican Aged Care has its own committee to oversee and support the work.

Key Staff Members

Alison Jephson

Director

Alison's experience at a senior executive level in the Aged Care sector is significant, and she holds dearly the Christian values of Anglican Aged Care. She has a passion to see that older people enjoy a quality of life and care to which they are entitled as elders in our community, and loves to see people having fun - irrespective of age!

Phillip Cowley

Financial Accountant
Phillip is a chartered accountant with overseas and local experience in small businesses and charitable organisations. His objective is to give Anglican Aged Care's management timely information to enable effective decisions to be made.

Roberta Mclennan

Administrator
Roberta is responsible for the billing and collection of fees and answering general enquiries in the office. She has been in the role for 19 years. Her knowledge of the organisation and friendly, helpful manner make her a natural first port of call for members of the public.

David Connolly

Sales & Marketing Manager
David looks after the sales of independent and semi-independent apartments and units at the Bishopspark, Churchill and Fitzgerald Retirement Communities. He also has the responsibility for co-ordinating advertising for Anglican Aged Care.

Judith Kirby

Facility Manager , Bishopspark
Judy is a registered general and obstetric nurse who trained at Christchurch Hospital. She has seen many changes in nursing care for the elderly over the past forty years and believes that Bishopspark provides care "par excellence".

Sandra Ferguson

Faclity Manager , Churchill Community
Sandy has worked for Anglican Aged Care for the past ten years and has extensive experience and qualifications in nursing, leadership and administration. Sandy considers it a great privilege to participate in the care of the elderly.

Cath Swain

Facility Manager , Fitzgerald Community

Cath is a registered nurse with long experience in aged care. She believes our residents deserve the highest quality of care in their home in the Fitzgerald Community; she and her team consider it a privilege to care for them.

 

These members of staff are supported by extremely hard-working, caring professionals in a wide variety of roles enabling Anglican Aged Care to uphold its standards of excellence in care.
